The Wallace Lake Lodge & Outposts are just 3.5 hours by car from Winnipeg. This is the edge of the Atikaki Provincial Wilderness Park and sits just 12 miles east of Bisset, Manitoba. The lodge was constructed in 2011 as a modern and beautiful tribute to the wild and wilderness area in which it sits. The Outpost Cabins sit on Obukowin Lake, Carroll Lake, Gammon River, Craven Lake, and there is a boat or three on TamGuy Lake. Here guests enjoy big Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, and Whitefish.
Fishing with the Wallace Lake Lodge & Outposts
Carroll Lake Outpost is a beautiful spot. It holds 6-8 people and offers a full kitchen hot and cold running water, and solar lighting. The cabin sits on the Gammon River System and you have access to a ton of fishing habitats. Expect to find Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, and Whitefish here.
Craven Lake Outpost holds 6-8 guests and offers hot and cold water, showers, and propane power for fridge and stove. Lights are solar. There are plenty of “secret” fishing spots here for Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, and Whitefish.
Gammon River Outpost sleeps four guests and offers a dynamic fishing scene. The Gammon River is fast and includes rapids, waterfall, and a good set of structures for master level fishermen. Expect Walleye in the 1-2 pound range, Northern Pike in the 3-5 pound range, and more Perch then you can possibly catch in a day. The Whitefish here are good too.
Obukowin Lake Outpost also holds four guests and is the more rustic of all of the outposts. There is a propane powered stove and fridge, hot and cold running water, and solar lights. The lake is a hot spot for fishing and makes a good destination for novice or master fishermen. Expect to find prolific Walleye holes and beds of Northern Pike here.
